Voted in support of infrastructure projects that will directly impact housing production, such as:

• Waiale Road extension

• Upcountry water source development

• Central Maui wastewater treatment facility

• North-South collector road in South Maui.

Supported the utilization of Countyowned land to bring down housing-related infrastructure costs.

Supported other pathways to housing, such as:

• ‘Ohana Assistance Program, to assist with the building of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

• Individual Development Account pilot program for first-time homebuyers

• Experimental and Demonstration Housing Projects Fund

• Streamlined permitting process and property tax relief for homes affected by 2023 wildfires.

Provided funding and support for local farming groups, including for cattle, coffee, vegetables, floriculture, and landscaping in the County’s annual budget.

Funded drought resiliency and stormwater re-use in Upcountry.

Passed legislation to increase the size of secondary farm dwellings to support multi-generational housing.

Founded Axis Deer Task Force in 2021, uniting government, private landowners, hunters, and businesses to fund achievable solutions.

Spearheaded Wailuku Town revitalization, Wailuku First Friday, and the Arts District.

Provided funding for Keokea Ho‘olaule‘a, Kahikinui community programs, and improvements at the Kepaniwai Heritage Gardens.

Championed community festivals such as Maui Matsuri, Chinese New Year, Makawao 4th of July, and Somos Amigos.
